With its unusual and decorative appearance, zebrawood greatly influences the atmosphere of a room.  Running straight along the radial plane, the dark brown-black stripes enliven the varied light tones of wood's grayish brown hue. A less desirable trait is the irregular zigzag course of the colored streaks which makes the veneer figure overly busy.
