Our new trainee in wholesale and foreign trade!

Every employee is important to our company and helps us grow and improve every day. With this important fact in mind, we would like to introduce you to one of our most charming colleagues who works in the sales and export department.

Lena hat sich schon früh für die Forst- und Holzwirtschaft begeistert, eine Leidenschaft, die sie in ihrer Familie und später während ihres Studiums entwickelt hat. Sie sagt:

“My name is Lena, I’m 26 years old and I’m from Pforzheim. I’ve been training as a wholesale and export merchant at Schorn & Groh since September 2023. Together with my dog Hera.

In the first part of my apprenticeship I spend a lot of time in the warehouse and in the showrooms to familiarize myself with the various tasks and to get to know the material (veneer), the different types of wood and their uses.

The apprenticeship alternates between work and school (every 3-4 weeks).
I am especially happy that my dog Hera can come to the office with me every day. She has become an important and welcome part of the team.

Before I started my apprenticeship at SG, I studied forestry at the University of Applied Sciences in Rottenburg, and my parents’ business, a forestry contracting company in the Enz region, gave me an enthusiasm for forestry and the timber industry, as well as for wood as a raw material,” she says.
