Schorn & Groh is not only a specialist in high-quality veneers and fixed dimensions but also offers sawn timber in domestic, modified, and exotic wood species – for over 60 years. Our sawn timber comes from the same growth regions as our veneers. This ensures that wood products, whether finely sliced or roughly sawn, match in color, grain, and cut.

Our experienced team in Ehrenkirchen, near Freiburg, provides expert, personalized advice for carpenters and interior construction firms. We’re happy to assist you directly on-site and work with you to plan your solid wood projects.

Massive unique pieces with character
Only the finest roundwood logs make it into Schorn & Groh’s tabletop production. Each log is carefully inspected – only wood of optimal quality is processed further. Our solid wood tabletops are as unique as nature itself. To ensure you find the perfect tabletop, we offer different processing levels – ideal for carpenters, interior designers, and end customers.

Consistent aesthetics for your construction project
As experts in special cuts and custom sorting, we go the extra mile to meet customer requirements. We consider both functional needs and aesthetic aspects when ensuring that veneer and sawn timber of the same wood species create a unified look in a construction project.
We support our clients from roundwood procurement to installation through our interior construction partners. Logs are processed into true quartersawn or block wood, then air- or kiln-dried in our own drying facility.

Whether heart-split boards with reduced tension, quarter-cut, half quarter-cut or true quarter-cut – our special cuts are as versatile as our semi-finished products: solid beams from the center of the trunk, edged lumber for further processing or customized planed laths. Especially in the wood species Oak we have about 20 qualities in stock.

We precisely implement your individual requirements. Our logs are professionally waxed, measured, and delivered in containers or by truck – quickly, reliably, and in top quality.
