Because neither the burls arrayed in groups nor the wavy annual rings are prominent, the observer is presented with a beautifully delicate pattern reminiscent of fine marble. The mellow atmosphere created by the wood is emphasized by the pale beige-yellow tones of the veneer. The ash cluster looks very much like ash burl.
