Birch sliced

The inner value of the birch – often unfairly called the weed of the forest – reveals itself in sliced veneer with a cathedral-like design. The growth rings are more or less clearly separated from one another and produce a tangential, delicate and relatively regular decorative grain. Softly satiny, the wood has colors ranging from yellowish-white or reddish-white to light brown. Reddish-brown pith flecks, which appear on the longitudinal surfaces as long stripes, add an unusual accent.
