Ceiba grows in West and East Africa. The tree trunk can grow up to 50m high. Sapwood might be light grey to yellowish-white; partly also with a slightly pinkish shade without any distinguished core wood. Light-coloured and very lightweighted wood with partly unstable grain, but otherwise plain wood surface.
