Chen Chen is a hardwood specie. The trees grow up to 40m high and are often knotless at 20m. This is a good alternative to Koto which is more expensive. Very easy to work and paint. The colour is uniformly light yellow to yellowish brown. The processing often results in a striped veneer appearance.
