Hornbeam - Real wood veneer from Schorn & Groh

Hornbeam

Character / Color

It lies very nicely in the hands of billiard fans – for billiard cues are made of the heavy and hard common hornbeam. This wood also finds favor with those who prefer a plain and simple look. The generally coarse-waved annual rings are not at all prominent. Because common hornbeam tends to curve, the wood has an irregular flow, which together with the uneven and large comb grain enlivens the faintly structured, gray to yellowish white wood.
