Poisonwood trees are small to medium sized and grow in Florida, Mexico, Central America and several Caribbean islands. The core wood has a coffee-brown ground colour with dark, partly also reddish to greenish shades. Strong colour variations are possible from tree to tree. This specie is very decorative and is often used for parquet, veneer, furniture and musical instruments.
