Character / Color

The Manchurian ash is a tree up to 30 meters high, which can be found along waters and at the edge of swamps. Its Sapwood is slightly lighter than heartwood, only slightly darker than European ash, homogeneous beige to light brown. Clear, beautiful, striped (tangential) or wavy (radial) grain. The veneer and structure of the tamo ash are unique (best compared to quilted maple). Mainly used as solid wood and as valuable veneer in interior design and for high-quality furniture.
