Teak
Character / Color
Teak is a clearly structured wood with a waxy surface. The semi-ring-porous growth zones of the wood result in a clear stripe texture or grain texture. The pore grooves sometimes contain light-colored ingredients. Occasionally a strong revival of the colour and structure occurs through dark brown to black stripes or flakes. The overall character of this very beautiful vivid picture is given a warm character by the yellow to dark golden brown colour.
Wood species / trade name: Teak / Burmese teak, genuine teak
Botanical name: Tectona grandis
